Don’t Talk To Strangers. Just Let Them Follow You.

Jake: You have more Twitter followers than I do!!

Me:  And I only know about 5 of them in real life.

Jake: That’s creepy.

Me:  That’s what bloggers want.  To get a whole bunch of people they don’t know to read what they write.

Jake:  Why??

Me:  …Good question…

(So much for the years spent preaching about “stranger danger” and not giving out any personal information on the internet.)

Do as I say, not as I do.

  1. Well, you asked.

Why? I love the sound of my own voice, but have the crippling doubt that others might not like it quite as much- so I blog in the hope of being proved right!

Or- I want someone to say, “There there everything will be OK”.

But follows are no good, I have follows and likes where the person has not bothered to read anything I write- it is Comments that matter.

    1. So true about wanting others to like it and also sympathize!

I still have mixed feelings about Twitter. I like that I can include my blog name in my user name. But I just don’t know how people keep up with all the tweets! I only follow a few hundred people and new tweets pop up almost constantly when I’m logged in.

E-mail follows are what makes me jump up and down because you know those people will get notified of every new post. You are right though, comments are awesome also!

  2. I don’t personally know who I follow on Twitter. It is just people’s blog that I read. It is funny how you like people to follow your blog, but there are a lot of blogs that I like to read. It was nice stopping by and reading your blog. I found you on the Daily Post comments. The one they suggest to find a new blog, so I have been hopping around.
