Christmas Presence

My kids’ wish lists are, frankly, very boring this year.  Video games and legos.  Blah.  So I’ve decided instead to just wrap this…

…with a note inside saying “Better luck getting gifts on the day YOU were born.”

When they ask why it is empty under the tree, I will play dumb (I’m good at that) and say “Ooohhhh, it is presents with a TS.  My bad.”Christmas presence2013 mayan calendar

<— I can get a really good deal on a case of these for everyone else on my shopping list.

Or an even easier way to avoid the mall…

If you are finished shopping, I suggest adding this to the first package opened to set a festive mood…

In all seriousness, I truly am looking forward to being in the presence of all my loved ones this Christmas.  That is a priceless gift.

  1. Ha! Great end-of-the-world gift ideas. When we were going through the schedule, the kids tried to get out of it early when we got to Friday by saying, “Can’t we just write end of the world”?

    1. Thanks Jen! Your comment made me EXTRA thrilled! At least we are both working on our “commenting on other blogs” skills. But…my name is Angela. LOL I think you probably saw my comment TO another blogger named Carrie. Just didn’t want to have you realize the mistake down the road and be like “why did she let me call her Carrie for a month???” 😀

I love your blog also. Can’t remember if I followed yours yet…another thing I’m trying to get better at (hitting the FOLLOW button when I find a blog I like). I always think, “oh I will remember to check for new blog entries, I don’t need to follow.” But I need to remember my memory sucks. Ha, just realized what I said there. I can’t really remember my memory sucks…because my memory sucks.

(Apparently I also need to work on making sure my comments aren’t as long as blog posts.)
